Position Details

Title: Events Coordinator
Location: Washington, DC (onsite as needed)
555 Pennsylvania Ave. NW in Washington, D.C.
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire (potential early conversion)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field required
Experience: 3-4+ years of event coordination, hospitality, administrative operations, conference planning, or related experience

What They're Looking For

Junior to mid-level event professional who is confident but not overly seasoned
Strong executive presence and professionalism
Ability to interact with senior stakeholders including faculty, speakers, executives, government officials, and VIP guests
Experience supporting large-scale events, conferences, academic programs, receptions, or productions
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to bring ideas, improve processes, and help shape the future direction of the events team
Experience with logistics coordination, vendor management, guest services, registrations, travel arrangements, catering, A/V coordination, and onsite event execution
