Japanese-English Interpreter


Location: Gary, IN


Start: October-November 2026


Contract: 3-6 months, with potential for direct/permanent hire

Pay: $35-$40/hour


Work Style: On-site, approximately 50% plant / 50% office


A manufacturing company is seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Interpreter to support communication between Japanese expatriates and local employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide Japanese-English interpretation during meetings and plant operations
• Translate documents as needed
• Support day-to-day communication between Japanese and English speakers

Requirements

• Business-level or higher Japanese and English
• Japanese-dominant bilingual candidates preferred
• Prior interpreter experience is not required
• Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Comfortable working in a plant environment
