Quality Control Manager=Precast Concrete Company
Automatic Wilbert Vault Co, Inc. and its Division, Puget Sound Precast, in Tacoma, Washington, are seeking a QC Manager to implement and oversee a Quality Control Program for the company. This position is a full-time, five-days per week employment opportunity.
Automatic Wilbert Vault Co, Inc is a 125-year-old family-owned concrete manufacturing business. Our company is known for its quality products and a high level of customer service. The successful candidate must be a well-organized self-starter with an eye for detail and possess current certifications in ACI Field Grade Level 1 and Precast Quality School. The QC Manager must be committed to that same level of quality products and the highest standards of customer service.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Quality testing of self-consolidating concrete (SCC);
· All testing, including but not limited to temperature, air entrainment, unit weight and yield, checking spread and visual stability index, preparing test cylinders for compression strength testing, aggregate (moisture) testing, pre/post pour inspections;
· Possess the knowledge and experience to know when a product or process is sub-standard in order to prevent sub-standard products from being sold to a customer;
· Perform other duties as assigned, including oversight of the production teams’ processes at each level of production.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma, current certification in ACI Field Grade Level 1 and Precast Quality School.
two or more years’ experience in Quality Control, solid math skills, and basic computer skills. They shall understand units of measure and translate them to production teams. This position will require strong organizational problem-solving and communication skills, and a working knowledge of the tools and procedures in a Quality Control environment.
This position also requires that the QC leader be a solid team player at all levels.
The Company is seeking to hire for this position immediately. The pay level begins at $85,000.00 annually.
